No matter what you think of him William Randolph Hearst was
quoted in the New York Journal-American, on
November11, 1954 as saying:
“According to American principle and practice the public is the ruler of the State, and in order to rule rightly it should be informed correctly. “
What we are witnessing now is an abject failure of the
so-called main stream media to do this. The media we see in this Great Nation today functions more like the Goebbels school of journalism out of the 1930s Germany.
Contrary to what many people may believe there is no
Constitutional right to vote for the President of the United States in a
national election. The United States Supreme Court ruled in Bush v Gore
that:
“The individual citizen has no federal constitutional right to vote for electors for the President of the United States unless and until the state legislature chooses a statewide election as the means to implement its power to appoint members of the Electoral College. U.S. Const., Art. II, §1.”
Considering the above there are a lot of reasonable people
which believe that the right to vote should be denied to people which do not
care enough about the privilege to inform themselves about what is going on. We make no secret about it, we belong to that school.
Another very serious problem is the so-called news media. Sometimes
It appears as if the majority of these people are seriously lacking in morals
and integrity, i.e. Dan Rather formerly of CBS News. It seems as if the one thing they have in common is the “don’t
give a damn about the welfare of the country”.
Reasonable people may come to the conclusion that only the moral deficient and people without integrity that have no known criminal record gravitate to politics and the media.
Reasonable people may come to the conclusion that only the moral deficient and people without integrity that have no known criminal record gravitate to politics and the media.
The media for the most part has become a disgrace. When we
watch what they do and the way they do it, we have to ask.
Is this what the men died for on the beaches of Europe on
D-Day? What about Guadalcanal,
Okinawa, Iwo Jima, etc. We will never
know, we cannot ask them.
Even one of the better news sources such as the Fox News Channel is hard to take
sometimes. In the first place, all reasonably intelligent people know their
marketing technique is just that and nothing more. No one can balance cold hard
facts and not all in this world is fair.
For example
was it fair for the men mentioned above to die for a country which would turn
their back on the very things most of these men thought they were fighting for?
Fox News Channel as well as other so-called main stream media sources spends untold
millions of dollars for people to set in front of a camera and tell one lie
after another when anyone with average intelligence knows they are lying. The one and only purpose seems to be to
deceive the people into voting for one political party or another. We think we can conclude that the individual
who said both political parties are corrupt to the core is absolutely correct.
We have to ask, why do they get away with this? The answer
is simple, the people of this Great Nation let them.
We think we are on sound ground here when we say, while
Ancient Greece spawned the sophist in an infant democracy it will be this
same technique which provides a major contribution to the destruction and
downfall of the Greatest Nation to
ever exist on the face of this earth!
This practice in the media exists around the world, across this Great
Nation and right here in middle Georgia’s front yard. We have come to the
conclusion that one of the most egregious offenders on the face of the earth today is
The Telegraph.
The book by Bob Kohn titled “Journalistic Fraud – How The New York Times Distorts the News and Why It Can No Longer Be Trusted” is an apt
lesson in how the modern day sophist
functions. We think we can safely say we have found an example of each despicable
practice cited in the book on the pages of The
Telegraph and never a hint of concern about the welfare of this Great Nation.
When we look at this then consider the fact that The Telegraph has brought on board a “marketing consultant” (Visiting Member
Kenny Burgamy, ex-banker, the “Perfect Republican” and the Looney part of Looney
and Tunes) to help sell what we see as acts out of ancient history
we have to wonder.
Then when Bill Knowles of wearepolitics
breaks the story of the “70,000
reasons” (second paragraph from the bottom) and we consider the “lousy
lunch”, the fog begins to clear and as the
old song goes “I can see clearly now”.
How a nice day.
