The Telegraph seems to get no better.

The following was posted in the comments section of wearepolitics.com in response to: The Original PSC Complaint and Letter Sent to Board President Tommy Barnes 06/19/2012 6 Comments

Our confusion grows; wearepolitics.com tells us that “…nobody knew this letter existed until the local media dove in on it.” From our very limited knowledge what we are seeing is coming from Bill Knowles, wearepolitics and the people who trust and believe in him.

Our principle dealings with the local media has been with The Telegraph. We will make four points out of thousands why we cannot under any circumstances put any trust in them. The three points we are making are indisputable, anyone can verify them with a trip to the Bibb County Washington Memorial Library.  The three points are:

1.     First and foremost is the fact that the people at The Telegraph do not seems to be capable of understanding that what most honest working people want from a newspaper that they pay for is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. The following clearly demonstrates The Telegraph will go to any length and twist things to suit their purpose.

2.     On Thursday, January 28, 1992 in an editorial titled “Can one sleazy story destroy Clinton candidacy?” We find in the first paragraph where they issue instructions to the people of middle Georgia. Their instructions are: “Let’s be very careful and very specific in judging Gov. Bill Clinton, a leading Democratic presidential candidate in trouble with his past.”

They then in the second paragraph absolve him of all responsibility and explain that: “His problem stems from allegations in a sleazy supermarket tabloid that pays big money for its muck.”

As late as August 7, 2003, “The Macon Telegraph”, as it was known was telling the people of middle Georgia that all Clinton did was he “…lied about having an illicit sexual affair with a woman….” Everyone who knows anything about what went on in the Clinton Administration knows this was deceitful and dishonest.

3.     Then if we fast forward to October 31st 2012 and look at what they did to the Republican Presidential Candidate Herman Cain, the missing integrity and morality at The Telegraph begins to become blatantly obvious.  If we look at all the accusations and charges made by the different individuals and perpetuated by The Telegraph in what they printed, we will not find the first documented fact to sustain this slander, much less prove the charges.

So much for The Telegraph’s “holier than thou” attitude and their “Let’s be very careful and very specific in judging…” candidates.

The Telegraph’s complete disregard for honesty and moral integrity is disgusting to honest people.

The people of middle Georgia need a newspaper, but they need an honest newspaper, one which will provide a community service with honesty and integrity in what they provide. The people need information they can believe in and trust.

To the extent the rest of the media in middle Georgia goes along with this and covers for The Telegraph, we can only say they are no better and just as disgusting.

Therefore we think the credit should be given to Bill Knowles, wearepolitics and the people who trust and believe in him and what he is doing.

If we are wrong, please someone, anyone show us where and we promise to look at it with an open mind.

After considering this we can say: "I can see clearly now".

Have a nice day.
