The Telegraph and Mike Stucka's advice.

The following comments were made by The Telegraph's Mike Stucka on August 16. 2012.

Folks this guy is a work of art or maybe he is working for a "lousy lunch". It could be his "wife needs employment". But then maybe we are just simple minded and do not understand things.

 Mike Stucka's comments were:
"News stories are indeed based on facts, and should not have an opinion. If you see a news story with opinion, by all means, please point it out to an editor with a telephone call or a letter to the editor. In the absence of actual examples -- facts that support your argument -- I can't really say anything else but in the abstract."
Let us go back to March 15, 2012 to an article by Mike Stucka and Andrea Castillo, titled Hartfaces conflict of interest claim.

Note Stucka's "please point it out to an editor with a telephone call or a letter to the editor."

Now let us see what happens when you do as Mike Stucka suggest.

That is not all, when Bill Knowles of wearepolitics.com called in with an attempt to try and straighten things out he got more or less the same as Tom Wagoner.

You have to be careful with the phone calls. If you value your soul do not call in and leave a message on an editor's answering machine at The Telegraph.  We really feel that Stucka should have warned people about this.

When you resort to the letter method as Stucka recommended what you get is a return of the letter you mailed plus you are out the cost of a certified letter with a returned receipt. We have tried this and certainly would not recommend it.

Of Course when the letter was returned we mailed it by certified mail to McClatchy Corporate Headquarters. Shortly after the letter was received by McClatchy The Editorial Page Editor started bragging about his wife working at the BOE welcome center. That is when we come to the conclusion that McClatchy approves of pedaling influence for employment.

All of this appears to have removed a tremendous load from the shoulders of at least one of the editors Stucka recommends you contact. Notice the difference in the demeanor of Charles Richardson during his conversation with Wagoner and Bill Knowles and his conversation with the lady Elaine.

All this is a quagmire to us, Stucka ask for facts and here they are. We will contact him and see if he can help, we desperately need it.

We just do not think President and Publisher George McCanless would have time to help.

Have a nice day.
