The Telegraph like a “thief in the night” strikes again.

As we all know the consulate in Benghazi, Libya was attacked on 9/11 of this year. The U.S. Ambassador to Libya, two former Navy Seals and a computer tech was killed, others were injured and the building was destroyed. The site was abandoned leaving sensitive material for anyone willing to pick it up.

This was an attack on sovereign territory of the United States of America; it was an act of war.

What the Obama Administration did in response to the outrage is a matter of record. For the most part the entire world knew this was a terrorist attack. Yet the Obama Administration and The Telegraph have done everything in their power to deceive and mislead the people about what happened.

The dishonesty and deceit they used in trying to blame this on the trailer of a film which no one had ever heard of was soon exposed. However the Obama Administration and their surrogates at The Telegraph continued with their “flim-flam”. “It’s their lie and they’re sticking to it.”

If you recall it was only yesterday that The Telegraph lashed out at “Supporters of Amendment 1” which would be on the ballot in the upcoming election.  The Telegraph accused these individuals of “attempting to flim-flam the public.” They tell us that “It’s their lie and they’re sticking to it.”

This is an apt description of the position The Telegraph has taken in their cover-up for the Obama Administration. “It’s their lie and they’re sticking to it.” More on this is available at: “Ask The Telegraph – what is the purpose?”

It has been one month since the attacks and The Telegraph continues to scam the people of middle Georgia. They do this while promoting the paper as middle Georgia’s newspaper. This within itself is a flim-flam.

Today, October 11, 2012, in a section they call “Nation Briefs” The
Telegraph covers up yesterday’s damage from the hearings by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

With 134 words they dismiss the hearings as “election-season congressional” hearings. It is available at: Consulate security adequate, officials say.

The very first paragraph is dishonest, misleading and deceitful. The Telegraph tells us that:
“State Department officials said Wednesday that security levels at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, were adequate for the threat level on the anniversary of 9/11 but that the compound was overrun by an “unprecedented attack” by dozens of heavily armed extremists.”
Perhaps you could call “The 1983 Marine Barracks Bombing: Connecting the Dots” or the 1998 - U.S. Embassy bombings Kenya/Tanzania  “unprecedented” attacks, the attack on the consulate does not measure up with all due respects for the people injured and killed.

When they tell us that: “The assertion that the security levels at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, were adequate for the threat level on the anniversary of 9/11…” they are being absurd. With four individuals dead, others injured and the building destroyed and they tell you that “security levels” were “…adequate for the threat level…” they are being blatantly dishonest.

Continuing with their obvious deceit they tell us that: “The officials said the number of U.S. and local security guards at the compound was consistent with what had been requested by the post.” This is another blatant lie and anyone who watched the hearings knows it. There are no quotes so this is something The Telegraph wants you to believe. There were some officials which tried to infer this but were not allowed to get away with it.

The people on the ground who would know better than anyone about the adequacy of the security disagreed. Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Wood with 24 years as a Special Forces soldier and was serving as “Site Security Team (SST) Commander in Libya” until 14 August 2012 tells us that:
“Diplomatic security remained weak. In April there was only one US diplomatic security agent stationed there. The RSO struggled to obtain additional personnel there but was never able to attain the numbers he felt comfortable with.”
“Eric Allan Nordstrom, Regional Security Officer, Tripoli, Libya from September 21, 2011-July 26, 2012” testified in regard to security that:
“I told the same regional director in a telephone call in Benghazi after he contacted me when I asked for 12 agents,” Nordstrom said. ‘His response to that was, you’re asking for the sun, moon and the stars and my response to him — his name’s Jim — I said, ‘Jim, you know what makes — most frustrating about this assignment? It’s not the hardships, it’s not the gunfire, it’s not the threats,’ Nordstrom said. ‘It’s dealing and fighting against the people, programs and personnel who are supposed to be supporting me,’ and I added it by saying, ‘For me, the Taliban is on the inside of the building.’”
Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Charlene Lamb testified that:
“The attack began at approximately 9:40 pm local time.”
“When the attack began, a Diplomatic Security agent working in the Tactical Operations Center immediately activated the Imminent Danger Notification System and made an emergency announcement over the PA. From that point on, I could follow what was happening in almost real-time.”
Lamb gives a “blow by blow” of the attack and for anyone now to insinuate that no one knew what was going on and blame it “…on the trailer of a film which no one had ever heard of…” is either mentally retarded or deliberately dishonest.

Other honest newspapers reported in some detail and provided information to show the incompetence of the Obama Administration.

The Washington Times in their: Republicans blast security, response to Libya attack with 1415 words did a good job.

The Washington Times in another piece by Rep. Mike Kelly titled: KELLY: Libya security cut while Vienna embassy gained Chevy Volts tells us that:
“In a May 3, 2012, email, the State Department denied a request by a group of Special Forces assigned to protect the U.S. embassy in Libya to continue their use of a DC- 3 airplane for security operations throughout the country.”
“Four days later, on May 7, the State Department authorized the U.S. embassy in Vienna to purchase a $108,000 electric vehicle charging station for the embassy motor pool’s new Chevrolet Volts. The purchase was a part of the State Department’s “Energy Efficiency Sweep of Europe” initiative, which included hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on green program expenditures at various U.S. Embassies.”
“While the embassy in Vienna was going green, the consulate in Benghazi was getting bombed, and little was done to stop it.”
You can began to get an insight into what The Telegraph’s President and Publisher George McCanless, the Executive Editor Sherrie Marshall and the Editorial Page Editor Charles E. Richardson are covering up for the Obama Administration.

Like “a thief in the night” The Telegraph has struck again and we can only believe it was deliberate.

Have a nice day.
