The difference in the way the two situations have been treated has a foul odor.

We have been watching The Telegraph’s coverage of the Obama Administration which we feel reasonable people could consider a scam.

And now we have the allegations against Herman Cain for what has been described as sexual abuse. No proof as to what allegedly happened other than some accusations by what could have been disgruntled employees. This occurred at a time when this type of accusations was running rampant through the military and civilian corporations. During that time frame I was teaching classes on sexual harassment in the military.

The civilian world according to a practicing attorney during that time frame would settle out of court rather than spend an outrageous amount defending the accusations. It was a win-win situation for the one-call-McCalls and the accusers. Of course we see and hear a lot of advertisements by these so-called officers of the court on the same TV and radio stations The Telegraph uses for their so-called News Talk Central program aired Monday through Friday.

The point is we know nothing about what was supposed to have happened in the case of Herman Cain’s alleged sexual harassment. The question has to be asked did something happen? Was it a wink, was it touching or groping? We have seen how the media has treated the situation. We see a lot of innuendo, rhetoric, etc. However the facts as to what actually happened seem to be missing but this appears to be immaterial to the so-called news media. It appears as if any rumor will do.

We feel what the media has done is both dishonest and disgusting. For a change we have a yardstick to measure things by. The yardstick is the Clinton administration and how the media reacted then and how it has reacted now. We must remember the medial had much more evidence in the case of Clinton.

The media in Clinton’s case sure as hell was not a shining example of honest and ethical journalism.

In this case as you may have guessed our primary interest is in The Macon Telegraph, which later changed it name to The Telegraph, no difference, same shoddy journalism which we feel at times borders on a scam.

We realize that over time the personnel change, but there is an overlap and we feel we can assume the practices both bad and good (if there are any good practices at The Telegraph) carry over.

This would indicate to us a systemic problem and no one to correct it. Reasonable people may reach the conclusion they just do not care.

In looking at the way they have treated the Herman Cain situation we were curious as to how they treated the Clinton situation. Since we were not in the area at the time we decided to go to the library in Macon and check the records. What we found was disgusting and may explain some of the things we have seen reported by The Telegraph in the past.

There is more to come on this. We would like to hear your opinion. We can be reached by e-mail at wetrack@windstream.net

Have a nice day.
