Is The [Macon] Telegraph pulling another scam?

If we look back in time we can see where the interest of the people of middle Georgia has been the national debt and the economy. We would think the recent election about the local splost bears out the fact that the interest is still present.

It is a well known fact that there has not been a budget passed by this administration. Obama is approaching the three-year mark and has never passed a budget as required by law. In spite of the interest exhibited by the people in middle Georgia about the budget, The Telegraph has avoided this fact like the plague.

This administration controlled both the House and Senate for the first two years of the Obama administration. In spite of the fact that an annual budget is required by law Obama has ignored it. This is disgusting and a disgrace and it has to be intentional.

We think it is fair to assume that we would not have some of the problems we have if the Obama administration and the United States Democratic controlled Congress had followed the law.

There were seven letters on the Opinion page of The Telegraph on November 4, 2011. All seven letters were about the splost, e.g., money, pocketbook, paycheck, etc.

Now we have to ask what happened with the letters, which we use to see in The Telegraph about the national debt, taxes, spending, etc. As long as it could be blamed on the last administration we saw them quite frequently. We do not see them anymore. This has happened since Obama has been in office. They gave the last administration no quarter on spending and now the subject is taboo unless it is local.

On August 3, 2011 CNN reported that the “Chinese agency downgrades U.S. credit rating”, at that time The Telegraph apparently didn’t think this would be of interest to the people of middle Georgia and they ignored it. After all it would reflect on the individual they endorsed for president.  It would point to the fact that he is incompetent and incapable. You can see that story here.

Again we are facing another downgrade. The Guardian tells us in a story by Peter Beaumont titled “Chinese ratings agency threatens US with new debt downgrade” dated Friday 11, 2011: The article tells us that:

“In August it downgraded US debt again, to A. Days later, Standard & Poor's followed in its wake, becoming the first western agency to downgrade US debt after the threat of a default was narrowly avoided following weeks of political squabbling in Washington over whether President Obama should be allowed to raise the US debt ceiling.” The entire article is available here.

This too has been ignored by The Telegraph. We think the act is intentional.

That is our opinion and we would like to hear from you. We can be reached by e-mail at wetrack@windstream.net

Have a nice day.
