We have to remember that The Telegraph endorsed Obama and now they have to look out for him. This is a mystery as to why they would put this ahead of what most people would think their duty is as “middle Georgia’s newspaper”. It is for sure the garbage they peddle, the things they omit and their willingness to deceive the people of middle Georgia is not going to swing a national election. The few Kool aid drinkers they cater to appear to be more important than honor and integrity.
As we looked at the news this morning we found in the Los Angeles Times where “Riot police fire projectiles, arrest dozens of Occupy Oakland Protesters”. We are told how “Some demonstrators lit the barricade aflame. Firefighters doused it. A police statement later said protesters had hurled rocks, explosives, bottles and flaming objects at officers.”
The LA Times tells us how “…black-garbed with kerchiefs covering their faces – were believed to be committing vandalism.” Then there is how “they broke windows and defaced several banks with graffiti, some Occupy Oakland protesters returned to scrub the walls of the Wells Fargo Bank.” You can read the entire article here.
Then Kevin Dolak of ABC News tells us in his story “Occupy Oakland Protesters Tear Gased By Police” that: “…a large crowd of demonstrators that lit a massive bonfire in the streets of downtown Oakland Calif., in a conflict following a day of action that saw the city’s port closed after demonstrators. blocked it (sic). It is noted that “Maritime operations remain effectively shut down.” The there is the fact that “Several banks were vandalized and a dozen windows were shattered at the Wells Fargo branch, while an area of Whole Foods was vandalized after rumors spread that employees who participated in the strike would be fired, according to ABC News affiliate KGO.”
We find out how Oakland Mayor “Quan’s support of the protests has created controversy amongst city workers. After ordering officers to clear protesters last week, Quan now supports the movement and gave city workers other than police the day off to join the work stoppage.”
“In an open letter from the police union,” the question was asked “‘As your police officers, we are confused,’ the letter read. ‘Is it the city’s intention to have city employees on both sides of a skirmish line?’” That story is available here.
From the San Francisco Chronicle we get the story about how the “Mercedes hits 2 Occupy Oakland protesters”. Of course “‘It was a pretty volatile situation,” he said. ‘There is no arrest at this time, but that do0esn’t mean there won’t be if there’s a need for an arrest.” As insignificant as the story may be it is right here.
We get from the New York Daily News a story by Jonathan Lemire that “Bloomberg strikes tougher tone on Occupy Wall Street”. This is another story with out much significance it is about “Mayor Michael Bloomberg strikes his toughest tone yet against the Occupy Wall Street protesters.” However it is about the “Occupiers” and is available here.
Last of all we find that the “City Cuts Power To Occupy Baltimore Site.” This story is about how “Baltimore City officials are taking a stand to get Occupy Baltimore protesters to leave McKeldin Square. Wednesday night, they turned off the electricity in the area.” This is more or less the same rhetoric but it is located here.
And last of all there was a story from the Wall Street Journal about “Oakland Protesters Shut Down Port”. It is located here.
Probably the most interesting things about the “Occupiers” and their activities is their propensity for violence and shutting down the maritime activity at the port.
This and the fact that Obama stands behind these people may indicate why The Telegraph chooses not to cover their activities. The story about the two being "fraternal twins” was a joke and they had to know it. For a review of the story you can go here.
Have a nice day.
