Is This the Ethics of The Telegraph?

We have been looking back at some of the events leading up to the controversy surrounding the Bibb County School System.  Bill Knowles at http://www.wearepolitics.com/articles.htmlkeeps stirring the water and that is a very good thing.

We have some serious doubts whether we would get “the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth” from The Telegraph. Reasonable people may determine that while The Telegraph promotes their self as “middle Georgia’s newspaper” they are running a scam on the people of middle Georgia. We feel completely safe when we assure you, you are not going to get the information you need to make a decision from The Telegraph going into the November elections.

couple of reasons why we believe this, number one, they have completely ignored the criminal activities of Attorney General Eric Holder at the United States Department of Justice. We are talking specifically about “fast and furious”, the gun running program where some of the guns resulted in the death of two federal agents. As far as The Telegraph is concerned the congressional hearings into this sordid affair might as well not exist. They have not covered any of the hearings. We have to feel that any honest news paper would cover all of this.

They have run one article pertain to this, the criminal action of the Justice Department, “fast and furious”, the death of the federal agents and the hearings are all linked.

The one story they run can be seen here.

They have proved to us that they are not going to print anything which will make this administration look bad.

The second reason is the way they have handled the Bibb County Board of Education, the“Macon Miracle” and Dr. Dallemand.
Back on March 4, 2012 President and Publisher George McCanless sprang to Editorial Page Editor Charles E. Richardson’s defense with his editorial “In The Pocket”. It looks as if the intent of the column was to head things off at the pass. We had no inkling that there is anything more to this than one free lunch. We really thought The Telegraph’s conduct was because of their bigotry and petty politics. However anyone knowing the press these days has to wonder.

Now thinks to Bill Knowles of http://www.wearepolitics.com/articles.html we know that The Telegraph’s Editorial Page Editor Charles E. Richardson’s wife has went to work for the Bibb County Board of Education!

Neither The Telegraph nor their morning program “News Talk Central”  which is aired every week day morning on WGXA channel 24 and other outlets in middle Georgia have mention the fact of Editorial Page Editor Charles E. Richardson’s dinning on the taxpayer’s dime or his wife’s employment. The exception being President and Publisher George McCanless’ apparent attempt to head things off which we pointed out above.

The Telegraph’s Editorial Page Editor Charles E. Richardson’s sometimes heated defense of the chairman of the Bibb County Commission for what some consider “a conflict of interest”is interesting. Therefore we thought Richardson’s take on ethics was worth noting.

In the following Video you can see Editorial Page Editor Charles E. Richardson’s take on ethics.

Have a nice day.
