We Are Politics Exposes The Telegraph Once Again!

It looks as if Bill Knowles has done it again, and the response is amazing. The 70,000 Reasons Certain Members Of The Media Are Biased We think this time Bill has gone a long way towards confirming our opinion that The Telegraph is at the very least disingenuous and if not actually corrupt they are hovering at the edge of the cliff.

The Telegraph’s problem with the bigotry of their employees goes back a long way and was pointed out by the late Editorial Page Editor Ron Woodgeard in his A Not-So-Fond Farewell, January 21, 2001. We have become convinced rather than solve the problems of The Telegraph, the President and Publisher George McCanless has actually been a major contributor.

Anyone looking at the number of the responses to what is going on in Macon and Bibb County which is posted on wearepolitics.com and compares this with the phone calls on WGXA TV 24’s “News Talk Central” powered by “The Telegraph” has to know what is happening.

The Editorial Page Editor Charles E. Richardson is screening the calls to “News Talk Central” as well as the letters to the editor of The Telegraph for content. Anyone wishing to point out a few facts that conflict with the “bill-of-goods” The Telegraph is pedaling is out of luck.

The Telegraph long ago ceased to acknowledge any contact with us here at we-track.com. This has been largely because of The Telegraph's cover-up of what is going on in Washington. We have long suspected The Telegraph of the same thing in Macon and Bibb County and now this has been confirmed as far as we are concerned. We have to wonder what The Telegraph is getting for their cover up of the deceit and dishonesty of the Obama administration.

The purpose of continuing to attempt to contact them is to establish a paper trial to document their refusal to respond. The more documentation we have of what is going on and attempts to contact them the better off we will be.

Our attempts to contact The Telegraph have been well documented. The last attempt to contact Richardson which ended in failure is shown below.  We thought it would be prudent to black out the physical address on the return. Our intentions are to forward it to The Telegraph's President and Publisher George McCanless.

If we go to this link: The 70,000 Reasons Certain Members Of The Media Are Biased and to the comments section we find: “E. Denis Caldon, Office of the President at Macon State 1993-2008” We find Caldon has had the same problem with The Telegraph and The Telegraph’s Editorial Page Editor. However this is the first time we have seen documentation linking or, if you will, implicating The Telegraph’s Executive Editor Sherrie Marshall. They seem to be under the impression that if they ignore everything it will go away. Take our word for it that is not going to happen!

Located two comments below the above comment is the following comment verbatim: The comment from:

Has anybody thought to go over Mccanless' head on this? Does the Telegraph's corporate parent endorse this sort of graft and corruption? Do they know about these issues with the chief of the editorial Board's lack of ethics, forthrightness, and family profiteering while Richardson strokes the guy who gave his wife this high dollar payday?

We can assure “Dude” that this has been done as of this date we have not received the return receipt. We addressed the problem including the links. We provided enough information for them to have a first-hand look.

This is a copy of the receipt for a certified letter sent to McClatchy Corporate headquarters. According to the United States Postal Service's tracking site it was delivered on July 16, 2012. When we are sure of their position we will pass it on.

The address came from their Code of Business Conduct and Ethics: This is the same “Code of Business Conduct” the President and Publisher George McCanless referred to in his defense of the Editorial Page Editor Charles E. Richardson’s “lousy lunch”. You can see that right here: In the pocket? Anyone wishing to contact McClatchy with additional information can use this link: Contact Us (McClatchy Corp. Headquarters). Or try the following which is from their Code of Business Conduct and Ethics:

“…contact the Company’s General Counsel, Karole Morgan-Prager, at kmorgan-prager@mcclatchy.com (or 916-321-1828). (This link does not work either here or on their web site.) Members of the Board should contact the Company's Chief Executive Officer and/or General Counsel. If the matter concerns the Chief Executive Officer or the Chief Financial Officer or relates to accounting or auditing issues, concerns or reports of possible violation may be submitted in writing to the Chair of the Company's Audit Committee c/o the Board Secretary, P.O. Box 15779, Sacramento, California 95852-0779.”

We think everyone would agree middle Georgia needs a newspaper, but we need an honest newspaper which will provide us with information we can trust and depend on. As the people of middle Georgia know The Telegraph and the present staff fall far short of this. The only thing that seems to be on their mind is a free meal and a job for family and friend at the taxpayers expense, of course.

Have a nice day.

  1. If you ever want to see the level of un-reported news and events in relation to the local 'coverage' of the Bibb County Board of Education and 'MR" Dallemand and his corrupted BOE5 - then head to https://www.facebook.com/StrangerOz (Bibb Schools Supporters) AND www.wearepolitics.com - so much for the community to uncover - which goes unreported....

Sometimes you've just got to ask 'why'!
