Our good friends at The [Macon] Telegraph must be having one hell of a time deciding how to cover for their man Obama. They seem to be like people with children who do something next to awful and people are talking about it. We then hear other people with children, come out with my children would never do that. This is what The Telegraph is doing. They seem to feel that their man would never do any thing to destroy the economy of this great country. Close your eyes and you do not see the obvious, which is what The Telegraph is doing.
In the edition on September 3, 2011 we noticed again they abandoned the AP (Associated Press) for, By Neelea Banerjee and Don Lee of the “Tribune Washington Bureau”
The difference is the Tribune did a fair job of mitigating things for Obama and the AP for some part was almost honest about things.
Banerjee and Lee used the whining approach about “The stalled economy’s growing political cost to President Barack Obama…”. Like the Looney Tunes at The Telegraph, they do not wish to draw attention to the fact that he recently took about ten days off and enjoyed this time at a multi-million resort area, Martha’s Vineyard.
He then dropped back by his luxurious quarters at the White House for a day or two and then departed for the luxurious resort at Camp David. He will attend to the nations business when he gets around to it.
The labor department’s August jobs report, which indicated no growth and is a clear indication of which way the country is headed, can wait. Time off is more important.
Again we are told “the greatest political risk is at Obama’s door…” The Telegraph and the Tribune seem to be worried that Obama is going to lose the privileges he enjoys at the expense of the nation.
Obama is worried also, this is indicated because he has agreed to post pone smog rules he is forcing on state and communities. However when his reelection is assured he will again force these unfunded mandates on the backs of the taxpayers.
It was noted that this indicated Obama’s “inability to jump start a weak economy.” In other words he simply does not know what he is doing.
As if what they called “The stagnation in U.S. payroll employment…” is not bad enough, the job figures for June and July has been downgraded by about 142,915 jobs.
The article tells us that unemployment figures remains at 9.1 percent. That is a joke, they knew it when they wrote it and The Telegraph knew it when they printed it.
You can see what The Telegraph wanted people to see right here.
As an NPR article by Yuki Noguchi titled “In jobless data, Devil May Be In Details.”
We are told that the unemployment is expected to return to 9.2 percent. A Howard Rosen, of the Peterson Institute tells us that “It’s not because we’re necessarily finding jobs for the unemployed, it is because people are dropping out of the labor force and no longer looking.”.
It is noted that the “unemployment rate” counts the labor force. The labor force is the people “who are working or who are looking for work”
Rosen then makes some other interesting observations and you can see it right here.
The AP report by Paul Wiseman and Christopher S. Rugaber was titled “Hiring standstill points to growing recession risk”.
They tell us that “Without more jobs to fuel consumer spending, economists say another recession would be inevitable.” It is also note that “In August, for instance, hourly wages fell.”
The point is made that “An economy growing 5 percent a year can absorb more punishment than one growing a 1 percent before it would slip into recession.”
In the AP article there is a little something for everyone. They are good at that. You can see their entire article right here.
As for President and Publisher George McCanless and the staff of The Telegraph they are still pushing the old “Economy showing signs of growth”. You can see the version they chose to run on September 2, 2011 right here.
Have a nice day.
