The Visiting Member Kenny Burgamy on the staff of the Macon Telegraph brought it up. We must point out that he repeatedly emphasized it was Bill Knowles who was reporting this. He then went into some detail about the text books, cost and an educational program for one of the individuals with the Bibb County School system.
All this is important because of what is being ignored by both The Telegraph’s Visiting Member Kenny Burgamy and Editorial Page Editor Charles E. Richardson.
Back on Sunday, March 4, 2012 it came to light that The Telegraph’s Editorial Page Editor Charles E. Richardson’s sometimes heated defense of Dr. Dallemand and his so-called “Macon Miracle Plan” may have been for unseemly motives. President and Publisher George McCanless sprang to Richardson’s defense on Sunday, March 4, 2012 with his “In the Pocket?” column. We said at that time it looked as if the intent of the column was to head things off at the pass. We also made the statement that at the time there was no reason to think there was anything more to the defense.
However there have been further developments in relation to this. The Telegraph’s Visiting Member Kenny Burgamy has repeatedly made note of things Bill Knowles has reported.
However Visiting Member Kenny Burgamy has completely ignored Editorial Page Editor Charles E. Richardson’s involvement in all this. It looks as if they are deliberately covering-up The Telegraph’s involvement up. After the fact that Richardson was eating off the taxpayer’s dime while defending Dallemand and other county officials Knowles reported Richardson’s wife had went to work for the Bibb County Board of Education.
Cover-up, that is precisely what The Telegraph is doing for the Obama Administration, a lot of time the cover-up is by omission . However this does not matter, deceit and dishonesty is deceit and dishonesty, no matter what form it takes.
As far as we know that was first reported by Bill Knowles in his piece What The Bibb BOE Isn't Telling You on 04/29/2012.
We are told that:
“I will tell you that I still have numerous Open Records requests that are still pending as I am trying to get to the bottom of various other things that have been brought to my attention by concerned citizens. One thing that I can in fact confirm without a doubt is that Macon Telegraph Opinion Editor Charles Richardson's wife Pamela has been hired by the Bibb County BOE at the Welcome Center. Please keep this in mind whenever Charles comments about what a great idea "The Macon Miracle" is and what a grand fellow Dr. Dallemand is. He has over 70,000 reasons to think so,”
This is again mentioned by Knowles in his WeArePolitics Exclusive: Bibb County BOE Assistant Superintendent Edward Judie's Controversial Emails on 05/04/2012.
Knowles tells us that:
“Now keep in mind, Ms. Coger is now making a tidy sum of $70,000 per year at the Welcome Center as a "Parent Academic Instructor"....And this is the same position that Pamela Richardson, wife of Macon Telegraph opinion editor Charles Richardson, was just hired for, both approved by none other than Edward Judie. (It's no wonder why The Telegraph is not reporting this.) This is much more than most of the teachers who are the ones who make a real difference in the Bibb County School System....And especially ones who are just starting into the system...."
There is a devastating smell oozing out of The Telegraph’s involvement in all this and at this point we believe we can expect more.
Have a nice day.
