The T-Splost – The Telegraph and the Pillars of the Community.

As we continue to look at this attempted grab for your money we have to remember the rules we have set forth The T-Splost – Macon – Bibb County Consolidation Vote &The Telegraph and The T-Splost and The Telegraph

Again we are not accusing anyone of doing anything wrong. From the morality  and integrity point of view that is a decision you have to make for yourself.

Maybe the T-Splost and the Macon-Bibb County Consolidation Bill would be good for the middle Georgia area. This can only happen when the people administering the funds are good stewards of the money.  We have just witnessed one of the biggest fleecing of the tax payers of this Great Nation in the history of the world.

We challenge anyone to provide documented proof where any of the individuals, these “pillars of the community” we have mention have spoken out against this massive fleecing.

What happened to all of those “shovel-ready jobs” in the infrastructure that massive Stimulus Bill was supposed to fix. You know the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. If we recall it set the taxpayers back almost a trillion dollars. Then after the money had disappeared we find out that those “shovel-ready jobs” were not as “shovel-ready as we expected” and we find that “Obama Jokes” about it as this jobs council.  We might note that Obama’s Jobs Czar, Jeffrey Immelt also found it funny while he is helping Obama outsource jobs and technology to China.  You can see that right here: Is Moving Jobs And Economic Infrastructure To China At A Blistering Pace

Has The Telegraph informed you about any of this? Have you heard any of these “pillars of the community” speak out about it. Why should anyone trust these people now?

The Telegraph today was in full mode trying to convince the taxpayers they should allow these “pillars of the community” to bundle your tax money in one pile and as Mayor Reichart of Macon says “where it will be available locally.” There is some controversy about the different methods of collecting a transportation tax. What is best a gas tax or the sales tax.

The Telegraph makes some specious arguments and trots out their preferred method. The biggest difference we see is the gas tax would go to Atlanta for pickings before being returned to the local communities.   But with the sales tax method according to Mayor Reichart “the money is collected here locally, spent here locally”.

This sort of reminds us of the Board of Education money. If the money is “collected here locally, spent here locally” etc. And folks we are not implying anything here, but that might mean it is more readily available for a “lousy lunch”  and possible “future employment” opportunities. See the second paragraph from the bottom.  We know this happens as there is documented proof. You might also want to check out Bill Knowles’ The 70,000 Reasons Certain Members Of The Media Are Biased at wearepolitics.com .

"In The Pocket?" on March 4, 2012. McCanless did say, "Naughty, naughty, Charles", but defended him nonetheless. By the way, don't look for it on Macon.com...The link is dead and the editorial is only a fond memory.)”  As can be seen here Knowles tells us it has been pulled down. If you want to see it try the following link. The “lousy lunch” is first line, right column.

As we have seen there have been other serious problems and questions with some of these other pillars of the community. We are referring to The Bibb County County School Supt. and the Chairman of the Bibb County Board of Commissionaires.

Bill Knowles provides a lot of good information at his wearepolitics.com

All this fits in with The Telegraph’s endorsements. We have to ask why would they endorse anyone whose interest does not coincide with theirs? It might be a “lousy lunch, future employment” or it may be integrity, morality or community service. We have to remember most of this is subjective.

For instance: in The Telegraph today there is the “Kicking the tires on the transportation SPLOST”    by a David G. Oedel who is a professor of law at Mercer University law school, where he teaches….”

Let us say we do not know the gentleman, never even heard his name before, but we do know The Telegraph. We know The Telegraph, Mercer University, The Knight Foundation and Georgia Public Broadcasting have interest in common such as “$4.6 M journalism partnership launched. We shudder to think what kind of Journalism will be taught.

After knowing what we do we have to consider it may be the free lunch and how to insure employment for the family type journalism.   And surly this would have to include how to keep it out of sight and out of mind as we have seen at The Telegraph.

The Telegraph Editorial Page Editor is already expressing concerns that his office does not meet his requirements as can be seen here.

We do know that when people have close interconnected interest like this they tend to be mum about questionable activity among their associates, e.g. – the “lousy lunch” and “future employment”.

Again we are not implying anything.

Have a nice day.
