We have to remember as we read A
healthy GOP is needed that the McClatchy owned Macon paper, The
Telegraph, is unique in the people they employee. The Telegraph’s Editorial
Page Editor Charles E. Richardson claims to have God Given rights to kill his
children.
He also seems to enjoy condemning people to hell, you know “go
to hell, straight to hell, do not pass go". Powerful stuff,
but he is of the protected class, his enablers at The Telegraph abound and may even reach into the Corporate offices of McClatchy Newspapers.
Remember you have to be careful how you respond to anything
The Telegraph does, these people claim to have unique powers.
The following is the comment we left on line about his
column. We would love to hear what you think.
This column is brilliant. We are supposed to believe that “…the
Republican Party…” and their “Southern Strategy... was to pit angry white men and
women against those nasty Democrats who pushed civil rights legislation.”
We suppose that we are to ignore that the Ku Klux Klan who
served as the military wing of the Democrat party had nothing to do with it. We
are to overlook the fact that such men as Supreme Court Justice Hugo
Black who was appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court by Franklin D. Roosevelt in
1937 was a Klan member.
That was the time frame when Franklin Delano Roosevelt repeatedly blocked the Anti-Lynching law during the 1930s.
Another Klan member of the Democrat Party was the late Robert Byrd a former Senator from West Virginia. We have to remember that Bull Conner, George Wallace, Robert Byrd and Al Gore Sr. were all Democrats.

We suppose people are to overlook all of this and the fact
that it was the Democrats at the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama and the
Democrat “Bull” Connor with the dogs in Birmingham.
But Richardson is right about one thing most “People aren’t
blind.” They can see and recognize out and out bigotry for what it is and this
has that look.
We have to remember you can not scam people by telling them the truth.
