On January 15, 2013 The Telegraph ran a column by Dick
Yarbrough under the title Local
newspapers provide information that empowers. We never really paid much
attention to what Yarbrough writes. We have offered wondered why
Yarbrough and Erickson, if they are sincere, would ignore
what goes on at The Telegraph. Unlike other columnist found in The Telegraph
both are what you may call locals and have to be familiar with The Telegraph
and what goes on in the middle Georgia area.
As for Yarbrough’s column reasonable people may conclude
that he is one of most uninformed individuals in the State of Georgia or he has
a lot in common with the con-artist at The Telegraph.
You can read his column found at the above link and see
the following which is why we feel as we do and make up your own mind.
We mailed Yarbrough a hard copy of the following by
certified mail, to date there have been no comments from him.

We were dumbfounded by your blanket accolades of local
newspapers and newspaper publishers. To quote someone we once read this “has to
be dumber than a yard rake.”
The [Macon] Telegraph ran the article under the heading “Local newspaper provide information that
empowers”. They did not say who it empowers. Your column may look innocuous
and we are sure it was meant that way. However in at least one case it is
grossly misleading.
We are going to provide some factual indisputable evidence
with print from the pages of The [Macon] Telegraph and video clips from The Telegraph
Morning news program News Talk Central. The
program is no longer on the air and the video clips may give a hint of why.
This is one of the local newspapers you speak so highly of
and we have to wonder just how proud “your momma and daddy” would be to find
out you are hanging around people like this.
·
The above link also provides the attitude take
by The Telegraph Editorial Page Editor Charles E. Richardson when someone brings
up his lack of “military service”. But then he considers the “military service”
of anybody else fair game.
·
The third video clip at this link indicates how
the “locals” address the individuals who disagree with them.
·
The forth video shows how the demeanor of The
Telegraph’s Editorial Page Editor Charles improves after Kenny Burgamy was
given the door and no one is pointing at The Telegraph’s "influence pedaling" and
by inference Richardson penchant for “free lunches”.
·
As for the “locals” acknowledging things when
there is a disagreement as can be seen by the picture (in the above link) The
Telegraph staff in any case where they do not want to address a problem or want
to cover it up. They just ignore it, even certified mail.
unfavorable information on the women to
make their accusations of “sexual harassment” more creditable. What was known but not used by The Telegraph
is all found in the above link. The Telegraph was never honest with the people
about these charges and to this day has not properly informed the people.
Now we find there have not been one word, not
one peep about Senator Mendez and his penchant for “underage prostitutes” from
this “local”. Nor his preference for interns who are “…registered sex
offenders”. The following links show exactly what we are talking about and
there is more evidence on this than all the “big boys” and “locals” put
together had on the accusations of sexual harassment on Herman Cain.
Any news on this would violate the policy
set by President and Publisher George McCanless in an e-mail to us on July 23,
2010 2:21 PM in a response to an inquiry about other Democrats who were having
ethical problems.
McCanless informed us that they had not
“…been convicted of anything---yet. Then to insure we understood he emphasised
“…I trust you get the message.”
·
During the last administration when the media
bared their fangs and sharpened their claws and set their sights on Attorney
General Alberto Gonzales The Telegraph made sure they did not miss a thing,
they were after anybody and everybody in that administration.

We are all well aware of the way the Chinese do
business. They made sure the Clinton Administration was awash in Communist
Chinese Money. Of course for the money the Clinton Administration was providing
them with technology which we see in the upgrade and expansion of the Communist
Chinese military to this day. The high speed computers and upgrades sold to
them by the Clinton Administration as revealed in the “Cox report” are being used
in their cyber-attacks on the United States today. For anyone who doubts this,
Bill Gertz has written three books on the subject and he provides irrefutable
documentation and evidence.
The sources for this material are
undisputable. It might be noted that when we returned to the middle Georgia
after leaving the Navy we spent many hours in the Bibb County public library
going back to the early 90’s and at that time overwhelmed with disgust we quit.
So much for your “locals”.
We think nothing shows The Telegraph’s
penchant for misleading the public more than the way they handled the Clinton
Presidency. Particularly galling was their editorial on January 28th
1992; five days after the Gennifer Flowers story broke.
The telegraph instructs the people on how
they should handle the situation; their instructions are “Let’s be very careful
and very specific in judging Gov. Bill Clinton, a leading Democratic
presidential candidate in trouble with his past.” They went on to absolve him
of all responsibility by telling the public that; “His problem stems from
allegations in a sleazy supermarket tabloid that pays big money for its muck.”
This is the same “local” that in future
years would do the “high-tech” lynching of Republican Candidate Herman Cain
with relish. We now know about The
Telegraph’s penchant for “lousy lunches”
on the taxpayer’s dime and what appears to be their willingness to pedal
influence for employment. The “lousy lunch” is a fact. We might note that there
is a lot more circumstantial evidence of the Telegraph pedaling influence for
employment than there was for Republican Presidential Candidate Herman Cain’s
charges of sexual harassment. We have it on video; the video presented here is
just a small portion of their conduct.

The late Phil Dodson, former Editorial Page
Editor of The Telegraph was telling people as late as August 2003 that all
Clinton did was he “…lied about having an illicit sexual affair with a woman
(other allegations of wrongdoing proved to be unsupportable after a lengthy and
hugely expensive investigation by Special Prosecutor Kenneth Starr)."
This is also the individual which in a
phone conversation about a letter we wrote told us that “Nobody could tell him
anything he did not know about the Clinton impeachment.” When asked about David
P. Schippers, Dodson snapped “never heard of him”. This was amazing; David P.
Schippers was the “Chief Investigative Counsel” for the Clinton Impeachment.
As seen in a previous video link Burgamy’s
departure was awfully funny to The Telegraph Editorial Page Editor Charles E.
Richardson.
McCanless after telling the reader that: “As I always
counsel anyone who asks, when you have a situation that could be a news story,
the worst thing you can do is try to avoid it.” Yet this is exactly what
McCanless and The Telegraph did in this case. To this day The Telegraph has not
cleared the air on this and that is one reason the people of middle Georgia
have no faith in anything they write on the school system and other things.
Information at this link also connects The Telegraph
Executive Editor Sherrie Marshall to what appears to be the corruption of The
Telegraph’s relationship with the Bibb County Board of Education and Dr.
Dallemand. So we have all three individuals that were listed on The Telegraph
masthead at that time implicated.
Burgamy kept referencing Bill Knowles’ web site. This
focused people’s attention on things which was going on at the board of
education which The Telegraph had ignored.
Right or wrong – we are not making that judgement but
Richardson was making a somewhat suspicious and forceful defense of Dr.
Dallemand, a man with a documented questionable background. A simple Google
search sheds light on the facts.
Last but not the least is The Telegraph’s cover up of the
gunrunning out of the United States Justice Department. We are talking about
guns which they are now trying to ban telling the average citizens they cannot
have them but which they sold thousands to the Mexican Drug Cartels. These guns
were linked to the death of three Federal Agents and the deaths of hundreds of
Mexican Nationals including women and children. It resulted in a “Contempt of
Congress” decision for Attorney General Eric Holder and then Obama declared
“Executive Privilege” to protect the people who committed the crimes.
This has to be another first. We have an Attorney General
and a so-called Constitutional lawyer who happens to be President of the United
States who does not know “Executive Privilege” cannot be used to cover up
crimes by the Government.
No doubt there is self-interest but that does not excuse the
misleading of the people. We can only assume that you are misinformed, at least
where The Telegraph is concerned.
We do not know if The Telegraph is a member of the Georgia
Press Association or not and we are not paying $30.00 to find out. That is sort
of immaterial anyway, it is the same profession and if the Georgia Press
Association does not speak out against this type of conduct in their profession
they are no better than the people committing the offences.
We can say the same for columns like yours which seem to
pass off this kind of conduct. At the very least that gives the impression of hypocrisy.
If you feel that we are wrong we would be glad to consider
anything you have to say. If we had an honest “local” newspaper in middle
Georgia you would not be reading this.
As things stand reasonable people could easily reach the
conclusion that this “local”, The Telegraph, makes a living by deceiving the
reader.
Have a nice day.
